The China-CEE Institute is one of the first members of the “Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development” think tank network, which was jointly established by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation(UNOSSC)and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS). Vice President Liu Zuokui attended the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation on behalf of President Feng Zhongping.

Description:
It focuses on South-South cooperation on leveraging knowledge and good practices sharing for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 1 which calls for ending poverty in all its forms everywhere. By bringing together Southern think tanks and relevant United Nation agencies, this webinar provides a platform for sharing knowledge and good practice on poverty eradication and sustainable development. At this event, a network of global think tanks, with the majority of them coming from the global South, focusing on Poverty Eradication and Sustainable Development, co-chaired by CASS and another think tank from the Global South (TBD) will join the South-South Global Thinkers, the global coalition of think tank networks for South-South Cooperation, initiated by UNOSSC and UNDP.
