Conference: Bilateral relations in the Changing world-70 years of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and some CEE Countries

The conference entitled by “Bilateral relations in the Changing world-70 years of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and some Central and Eastern European Countries” was successfully held in Budapest on 6th, September 2019, co-organized by China-CEE Institute and Pallas Athene Innovation and Geopolitical Foundation.

This year, 2019, marks the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and some Central and Eastern European Countries. This conference is to celebrate the partnership and discuss the history, current, and future of relations between China and some Eastern European Countries, thereby further promoting understanding and exchanging views on the relationship between China and some CEE countries, in terms of bilateral level and multi-level.

H.E. Duan Jielong, People’s Republic of China to Hungary, delivered the keynote speech. Prof. Chen Xin, Executive president of the China-CEE Institute and Deputy Director-General of the European Institute of CASS, and Mr. Csizmadia Norbert, the President of Board, Pallas Athene Innovation and Geopolitical Foundation, addressed opening remarks in the conference.

The China-CEE Institute had received around 40 abstracts, based on the Call for Paper in 2019. After the two-round reviewing process, some of the qualified papers will be published in the format of Working Paper by the China-CEE Institute.

The China-CEE Institute is the first think tank in China, independently registered in Europe. Since its establishment in April 2017, the institute has published weekly briefings, working papers, and several books.
