Webinar on the Promoting Practical Cooperation between China and Serbia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia in the Post-epidemic Era
On 29 June 2022, the China-CEE Institute successfully hosted a webinar on the “Promoting Practical Cooperation between China and Serbia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia in the Post-epidemic Era” via Zoom. Members of non-resident researchers of China-CEE Institute, scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Capital Normal University of China and University of Belgrade, participated the seminar.
Dr. JU Weiwei, Associate Director of Institute of European Studies, CASS, moderated the seminar. Prof. CHEN Xin, Executive President of China-CEE Institute, gave the welcome remarks. He expressed his gratitude for the support from all participants. The meeting was mainly based on the current situation of bilateral relationship, focusing on the cooperation prospects between China and CEE countries in the post-epidemic era. He proposed that Chinese and CEE scholars should further strengthen academic communication to offer intellectual support for bilateral cooperation in all fields, and hoped that all participants could work together to address common challenges.
Dr. Ivona Ladjevac, Deputy Director of Institute of International Politics and Economics in Belgrade, Dr. Marsela Musabelliu, Executive Director of Albanian Institute for Globalization Studies (AIGS), Dr. Faruk Borić, Executive Director of Centre for promotion and development of Belt and Road Initiative, Dr. Adela Gjorgjioska, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Prosperity, had delivered keynote speeches.
During the Discussion session, Dr. XU Gang, Associate Professor of Russian, East European & Central Asian Studies, CASS, Mrs. CHEN Siyang, Assistant Professor of Institute of European Studies, CASS, Mrs. CHEN Huizhi, Research fellow of Capital Normal University, and Mr. FEI Zhengjian, Doctorand of University of Belgrade and Director of CSSA-Serbia, joined discussions with above speakers.
Finally, Prof. KONG Tianping, Member of International Academic Committee of the China-CEE Institute, summarized the event. Prof. KONG thanked the attendees for their active participation and their good interaction and exchanges on cooperation in the post-epidemic era from the perspectives of the Balkan countries and China respectively. Finally he announced the seminar had been successfully concluded. He hoped all participants supporting the China-CEE Institute to conduct more academic exchange activities.
