About the Lecture:

In early March of 2022, China held the National People Congress. In this event, the central government summarized the economic situations and published the government work report. The first quarter of 2022 has passed. How is China’s economic growth momentum? How about the expectation of growth and its key drivers? How much easing can be expected for the macro economics policies? What is the outlook for the collaboration between China and EU?

 

About the speaker:

Xu joined IWEP (Institute of World Economics and Politics), CASS (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) since 2008, and becomes a senior research fellow since 2011. Now, he is the deputy director in IWEP. In 2012, he also took up the role of advisor to the international collaboration department in Ministry of Finance of PRC. Xu also sits in the work team of CEEM (China’s External Economic Environment) in IWEP. This work team issues a quarterly report on global macroeconomics, and he is responsible for the research on China’s economy and developing countries’ debt issues.
