1.  Introduction to China-CEE Institute

China-CEE Institute, registered as a non-profit limited company in Budapest, was established by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in April 2017. China-CEE Institute aims to build ties and strengthen partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks in Hungary and other CEE countries as well as other European countries.

China-CEE Institute encourages scholars and researchers from CEE countries to carry out joint research and field studies, to (co-)organize seminars and lecture series, and to launch some training programs for students, newly established researchers, etc.

 

2.  Requirements for the Call

  • Topic: “Green Silk Road and China-Europe Cooperation amid the Profound Changes in the World Situation”. In the face of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has shown strong resilience and vitality. With its international partners, China has the ambition of making the Belt and Road a model of cooperation, health, recovery and growth through united responses to global challenges and developing a “Green Silk Road”. Green is a major element of the BRI Over the years, China has actively integrated green ecological concept into the joint construction of the BRI and improved the green level in the areas of policy communication, facility connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people bonds. Therefore, the role of the Green Silk Road in China-EU cooperation amid the profound changes in the world situation deserves intensive discussions among all parties. Each applicant is supposed to give a clear and scientific elucidation of the topic in the abstract.
  • Applicants are explicitly discouraged from submitting papers which
    • do not clearly present the above topic;
    • do not provide significant advances compared with existing research,
  • The papers should be structured in an academic structure, including abstract, introduction, methodology, research results, conclusions, references and footnotes. Speeches are not
  • Those who are interested are supposed to submit an abstract in English with no more than 250 words before 16 July

 

3.  Submission Guidelines

  • The deadline for submission of abstract is 16 July 2021.
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the abstracts will be sent out by 26 July
  • The deadline for submitting full paper is 26 September
  • Manuscripts should be submitted electronically, in Word format (DOC 2010 Word format without non-standard fonts), via email.
  • Manuscripts should be written in standard English and should be between 5,000 and 6,000 words. All citations and quotations should be verified before submission of the The preferred referencing style is the American Psychological Association (APA) style.

4.  Review

  • Papers will be reviewed by the peer reviewers of China-CEE
  • Papers will be reviewed by taking into consideration the objectivity, originality, scientificity,

 

5.  Notes

  • The authors, whose papers are accepted, will sign a contract with China-CEE Institute. According to the contract, China-CEE Institute will provide 550 Euro as honorarium for one
  • Once accepted by China-CEE Institute, the papers will be published in the working paper series of China-CEE Institute. They will also be possibly published in a book format by China-CEE Institute in the
  • The intellectual property of the accepted paper will be in the possession of China-CEE Institute, and contract will be signed between the author(s) and China-CEE
