President’s forward
I am delighted to present the China-CEE Institute annual report 2018 here. This is the first annual report since the Institute was established, and I certainly feel that the China-CEE Institute has been playing a constructive role in disseminating knowledge-based report and analysis, and promoting helpful communication between China and Central and Eastern Europe. China-CEE Institute has made an obvious progress this year on regional and country studies in Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. Key developments in 2018 were the increasing publications including weekly briefings, working papers, survey of public opinions, as well as joint researches and books. In addition to these, the Institute has organized some events including international academic conferences, workshops and lectures. I am confident that China-CEE Institute will grow further expanding its outreach with more publications, analysis and communications. Last but not the least, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners for successful cooperation over the past year.
