Dr. Huaipu Zhao is professor and Director of the Center for European Studies at China Foreign Affairs University. He has been a Visiting Fellow at Leicester University and a Visiting Fulbright Research Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University. His research interests lie in the European Union and the United States with a particular focus on politics and foreign policy of the European Union, and US-European relations. Zhao has published a number of monographs, including the  History of Contemporary US-Europe Relations, and Britain and the European integration, etc. He convenes the courses European Union Studies, US-European Relations, and China’s Foreign Policy.
