CONFERENCE ON THE MARITIME SILK ROAD : Economic and Regional Prospects

CONFERENCE ON THE MARITIME SILK ROAD

Economic and Regional Prospects

China-CEE Institute and Antall József Knowledge Centre will co-organize a conference on the Maritime Silk Road: Economic and Regional Prospects, which will be held on 27 September 2018 in Budapest.

The aim of the conference is to map the mutual economic benefits of the 21st Century New Maritime Silk Road, with special regard to Europe, which is closely linked to the region in question. The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Plan is an important aspect of the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, whereby Eurasia becomes an integrated economic area. The plan has a far-reaching impact on Europe’s trading opportunities, in addition to the Far East markets in emerging Indian, East African, and Middle Eastern markets. During the conference, we will examine this complex economic and power transition with the help of international experts, continuing the discourse that began on 28 September 2017.
